The History Department at the University of Alabama in Huntsville is seeking a colleague for a tenure-track position as an assistant professor who specializes in Roman history with a sub-specialization in Late Antiquity. Teaching responsibilities include freshman world-history surveys and upper-division and graduate courses in the candidate’s specialty. The teaching load is three courses per semester. Candidates should have completed the Ph.D. by July 2013, and should have a strong commitment to teaching. The College of Liberal Arts has programs in Classical Studies, Global Studies/Study Abroad, Science and Technology in Society (STS), Women’s Studies, and Public History.
