The Department of Classics at the University of Arizona seeks to hire a highly qualified candidate for a full-time, benefits-eligible Visiting Assistant Professor beginning August 2011. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Classics with a specialty in the intersection of Roman material culture and literary texts. Preference will be given to candidates with a record of excellence in teaching. The candidate is expected to teach a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and large enrollment general education courses. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand at time of application.
