UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA – TUCSON, AZ (Two Positions)
The Department of Classics at the University of Arizona seeks to hire TWO highly qualified Visiting Assistant Professors for the 2012/13 academic year. Both appointments are full-time benefits-eligible and begin in August 2012. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Classics at the time of application. Teaching load is three courses per semester. Preference will be given to candidates with a record of excellence in teaching. Each candidate is expected to teach some combination of undergraduate classics courses, large enrollment general education classics courses, and an undergraduate Latin prose course. Review of applications will begin on April 16 and continue until both positions are filled.
