The University of Auckland, New Zealand invites applications for a senior continuing appointment in the Department of Classics and Ancient History. The successful applicant will be an experienced academic with a strong record of research in Classics or Ancient History and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
The person appointed will be expected to: a) continue an active programme of research and publication; b) contribute to the teaching of courses in Classical Studies and/or Greek or Roman History; c) contribute to the teaching of courses in Latin and/or Greek; and d) supervise postgraduate research. An appointment will be made at the Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor level, depending on the standing, teaching experience, and research credentials of the applicant.
