UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, San Diego invites applications for a lecturer position in the Revelle College Humanities Program, which, pending budgetary approval, will begin July 1, 1999 for one year with possibility of extension. Lecturer will assist in teaching introductory courses in Western cultural and intellectual history with strong emphasis on development of analytical writing skills. Ph.D. and teaching experience required; experience in interdisciplinary humanities education and emphasis on premodern European periods preferred. Doctoral work may be in History, Literature or Philosophy. Salary commensurate with experience and based on published UC pay scale. Noncitizens should state immigration status in CV.
