UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA -- San Diego, CA (One or Two Positions)
The University of California, San Diego invites applications for one or two lecturer positions in the Revelle College Humanities Program which will begin July 1, 2001, for one year with possibility of extension. Lecturers assist in teaching introductory courses in Western cultural and intellectual history with strong emphasis on development of analytical writing skills. One position may additionally involve responsibility for coordination of courses and supervision of Teaching Assistants. Ph.D. and teaching experience required; experience in interdisciplinary humanities education and emphasis on pre-modern European periods preferred. Doctoral work may be in History, Literature or Philosophy. Salary commensurate with experience and based on published UC pay scale. Non-citizens should state immigration status in CV.
