The Language Program at the University of California, Santa Cruz, announces a full-time permanent position (Lecturer with Security of Employment) in the Language Program with a specialty in ancient languages. The successful candidate should be prepared to teach introductory courses in at least three ancient languages, preferably Greek, Latin, and Hebrew, and also should be versatile enough to design and teach courses in which ancient texts are read in English translation. Successful university administrative experience in both personnel assessment and curriculum development is preferred.
