Professor of Classics - Vacancy No: CL145/10573. Closing Date: 31 January 2004. The University of Canterbury is seeking to appoint a Professor of Classics in the new School of Classics and Linguistics. The successful applicant will have an outstanding record of achievement in any area of the Classical disciplines, a deep knowledge of both Latin and Greek, and will be an active scholar in both teaching and research. The appointee will be expected to carry out research, attract external funding, supervise postgraduate students and contribute to the teaching programme at all levels.
