The Classics Department at the University of Chicago invites applications for an Assistant Professorship in ancient Greek poetry. Preference will be given to specialists in tragedy. The teaching load consists of four 10-week undergraduate and graduate courses per year. The Ph.D. degree should be in hand by July 1, 2008, when the appointment begins.
