The Classics Department at the University of Chicago invites applications for an open rank position in Hellenistic History. Preference will be given to those with interests in social or economic history. The teaching load consists of four 10-week undergraduate and graduate courses per year. For junior candidates, the Ph.D. degree must be in hand by July 1, 2007, when the appointment begins.
