The Department of Classics at the University of Colorado invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. by 16 August 1999; will have a strong background and research interests in Greek History, where this is understood to include those with expertise in special fields such as religious history, epigraphy, etc.; and will be qualified to teach Greek and Latin at all levels. Applicants should send a full dossier, including a letter of application, curriculum vitae, a short sample of scholarly work (c. 20 pages), and at least three letters of reference.
