Following the appointment of Dr. D. S. Levene to the Chair of Latin at the University of Leeds, and of Prof. J. L. Moles to the Chair of Latin at the University of Newcastle, the Department wishes to appoint two Lecturers (A and A/B) in Classics from 1 October 2000. Preference will be given to specialists in some aspect of language or literature (particularly Latin in one of the cases); we shall expect a strong commitment to research, and willingness and ability to play a full part in all aspects of the life of one of the leading Classics Departments in the U.K.

Nelis to the Chair of Latin at Trinity College, Dublin, the Department of Classics and Ancient History wishes to appoint a Lecturer (A or B) in Classics from 1 October 2000.
