Assistant Professor, tenure-track position, beginning August 15, 2002. Research area is open. The candidate should be able to teach courses in Greek and Latin (beginning through M.A. level) and classical civilization, as departmental needs and personal preferences warrant. Preference will be given to candidates with experience or interest in the teaching of Classical Mythology or a similar large-enrollment course. We will also be interested in candidates with demonstrable skill in speaking and writing Latin, who can contribute to the new UK graduate Institute in Latin Studies (For details see the following website: http://www.uky.edu/AS/Classics/institute.html.) Course load will be two courses per semester. Ph.D. required by August 15, 2002. Pre-arranged interviews will be conducted at the Philadelphia meeting of the American Philological Assn., January 2002.
