The Department of Classics at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning in Fall 2000. A Ph.D. in Classics required; speciality open. We seek a generalist with strong promise in research, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and strong interest in Latin pedagogy/language acquisition and computer-assisted instruction/technology. The successful candidate will play an important role in the department's MAT program. Other duties include a 2-3 teaching load consisting of Greek, Latin and Classics courses.
