The Department of Classics at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor, to begin September 1, 2005. We are seeking applicants who have particular expertise in Latin language and literature and who would be able to contribute to a licensure program for K-12 Latin teachers.
Candidates should be able to teach a wide range of courses in Latin, Greek and classical studies, and to offer courses for the undergraduate general education program. A PhD is required by the time of the appointment. Applications from women and minorities are strongly encouraged.
