The Department of Classics at the University of Miami is currently seeking a classicist for a full-time non-tenure track position at the level of Lecturer, for the spring term of 2013, to begin on January 15, 2013. The successful candidate must be competent to teach Greek and Latin on the undergraduate level, as well as broad survey courses in the literatures and cultures of the Greek and Roman worlds. S/he will also be expected to take part in various departmental activities. A PhD in Classics (or a PhD in Comparative Literature, with specialization in Classics) is required by the time of appointment; and prior teaching experience is preferred. Salary: Competitive.
