The Department of Classics seeks to appoint a full-time Lecturer for the spring semester of 2012. Renewal for the 2012-13 academic year is possible depending on instructional need. The responsibilities of this non-tenure-track post include teaching undergraduate courses in Latin, Greek, and/or Classics in translation; maintaining regular office hours for students each week; and attending faculty meetings as required. Candidates should hold the PhD in Classics or a related discipline, and should be committed to excellence in the field of Classics; at least one year’s experience in college-level teaching is preferred. Candidates with a specialization in Ancient Law are particularly encouraged to apply. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
