The Department of Classics at the University of Mississippi invites specialists in Latin language and literature to apply for the tenure-track position of assistant professor, to begin in academic year 2003-2004. Applicants must be able to teach Latin and Greek at all levels to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as courses in Classical civilization. A Ph.D. in Classics is required. Starting date for this position is mid-August, 2003. Review of applications will begin on November 22, 2002 and will continue until the position is filled or until an adequate pool of candidates is reached.
