The Department of Classical Studies seeks to appoint a visiting assistant professor for the 2012-2013 academic year. This is a full-time, non-regular, non-tenure track position from August 2012 to May 2013. The successful candidate will teach three classes each semester, one of which will be a large-enrollment mythology survey (300-500 students). Applicants must be prepared to teach both Greek and Latin at the undergraduate level and have experience teaching large lecture courses, ideally with competency in PowerPoint and Blackboard (or another electronic course management system). Preference will be given to candidates who will have the PhD in hand by June 2012.
