The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures and the Greek Studies Program of the University of Missouri-St. Louis invite applications for a three-year appointment in Modern Greek Studies effective January 1, 2004, at the rank of Lecturer or Affiliate Assistant Professor. Candidates should have an M.A. and/or a Ph.D. in Greek Studies with a specialization in the field of Modern Greek language and literature. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated teaching excellence and ability to teach courses in Greek language, literature, and culture; ability to teach Ancient Greek will be a plus. The successful candidate should be prepared to teach three courses per term, depending on the needs of the Greek Studies Program. Salary will be $30,000 plus benefits.
