UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI-ST. LOUIS – ST. LOUIS, MO
Assistant Teaching Professor, Modern Greek. For appointment within the Department of Anthropology and Languages at University of Missouri-St. Louis. A non-tenure track appointment commencing January 12, 2009 through May 2010 with possibility of renewal. To teach undergraduate regular and on-line courses in Modern Greek language and ancient and modern Greek literature and culture. Also includes advising and other duties in support of the Greek Studies Program as assigned. Minimum requirement of MA or equivalent level degree in Greek literature, culture, or closely-related field and native or near-native fluency in both Greek and English.

St. Louis has a vibrant Greek American community and UMSL has an endowed professorship in Greek Studies. This position is a joint appointment with the Center for International Studies, which is the home of the Greek Studies Program.
