Visiting Assistant Professorship in Foreign Languages and Literatures: Classics. This is an opening for a one-year sabbatical replacement. The candidate must have a PhD in Classics in hand at the time of appointment and be prepared to teach Latin and Greek at all levels, as well as Humanities (Classical and Biblical texts). The teaching load is six semester courses per academic year. Candidates must have a documented record of dynamic, successful teaching and preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated excellence in teaching. The Classical Program offers majors and minors in Latin, Classical Languages and Classical Civilization. Employment will be for the period beginning August 25, 1999 and ending May 13, 2000.
