Assistant Professor, Classics - Tenure Track. The University of Montana Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures seeks a classicist who is a strong generalist with a commitment both to a robust undergraduate program in Classics and to General Education at the lower division level. The area of specialization is open. Ph.D. must be awarded by the time of hire. Teaching duties will include Greek and Latin language courses at all undergraduate levels and a variety of Classical Civilization and general Humanities courses. Reading of applications will begin on December 1 and will continue until an applicant is named to the position. Preliminary interviews will be conducted at the APA/AIA meeting in San Francisco in January.
