Beginning Assistant Professor Classics (tenure-track), with a specialty in Latin language, literature, and culture and ability to teach Classical Mythology and other courses in translation. Position pending funding; duties begin 8/00. Requirements: Ph.D. in hand by 4/00; teaching experience and evidence of scholarly potential; willingness to engage in extracurricular/outreach activities and to teach at all levels of undergraduate instruction. Also required: demonstrated ability to teach large Classical civilization courses or experience in the coordination of Latin pedagogy programs.
