The Department of Classical Studies invites applications for a 1-year position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor to begin in August 2010. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Classics or a related discipline by August 1, 2010. The primary area of responsibility will be teaching Latin at the introductory level as well as mythology and classical civilization courses. The area of specialization is open, and candidates should be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching. Teaching load is 3 courses per semester.
