The Department of Classical Studies invites applications for a definite new tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, with open field of specialization, beginning August 2008. Candidates must have Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment. In addition to its undergraduate major with concentrations in archaeology, language & literature, and civilization, the Department offers an M.Ed. in Latin. We especially encourage applicants with cross-disciplinary interests and innovative approaches to the ancient world. Strong commitment to scholarship and publication is necessary as well as evidence of excellent teaching.
