Camden Professorship of Ancient History in association with Brasenose College.
The University of Oxford intends to make an appointment to the Camden Professorship of Ancient History in the Faculty of Classics from 1 October 2011, or as soon as possible thereafter. The Camden professorship is the University’s leading position in Roman History. The University wishes to appoint an Ancient Historian of outstanding international reputation, who will promote the study of Roman History at both undergraduate and graduate levels within and outside the university, pursue original research, and foster the faculty’s research culture and research projects.
