The Department of Classical Studies at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a newly authorized, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in the 2000-2001 academic year. We are particularly interested in candidates whose area of specialization lies in Latin Literature and Roman Culture. Candidates must be able to teach Latin and Greek at all levels, and to assume an active and enthusiastic role in our other Classical Studies programs. We seek candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching, who can contribute to both our undergraduate and graduate programs.
