The Department of Classical Studies invites applications from both junior and senior candidates for an open-rank position in the field of Roman History. The appointment is to begin in Fall 2005. Senior Candidates will be expected to have a distinguished record of research and teaching, and a commitment to students; junior candidates must show evidence of exceptional promise in these areas. In addition to teaching courses on historical authors and topics (including technical fields, such as epigraphy or numismatics), the successful candidate must also be able to teach courses in Latin and Greek at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
