Tenure-line Assistant Professor of Ancient History in the Department of Classics. Begins Fall Term 2000. Teach survey courses in Greek and Roman history, advanced courses on more specialized historical subjects, Greek and Latin at all undergraduate levels, and possibly a freshman course in the University Honors Program. Teaching load is three courses per semester. Continue professional development, advise students, and participate in departmental and University governance. Requires Ph.D. in Classics or Ancient History (ABD considered), and strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and liberal arts education.
