UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER – ROCHESTER, NY (Two Positions)
POSITION ONE: The Department of Religion and Classics invites applications from Classicists for a one-year position beginning Fall 2007 as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (depending upon experience). Ph.D. preferred; previous teaching experience essential. Teaching duties will include a range of undergraduate courses in Greek and Latin Language and Literature and in Classical civilization, including Roman World and Classical Mythology. Three classes per semester, from small language classes to larger lectures (50+). Non-teaching duties include undergraduate advising. One or two courses per semester, likely to be first-year Latin and first-year Attic/Koine Greek, but possibly upper-level language, depending on the interests of the person appointed to the full-time Lecturer position.
