UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH - SEWANEE, TN
The Department of Classical Languages at the University of the South (popularly known as Sewanee) seeks to fill a tenure-track position for a generalist at the Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall, 2004. Applicants should have Ph.D. in hand, and demonstrated teaching ability. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in Latin and ancient Greek at all levels, and courses in the first year of Sewanee's interdisciplinary Humanities program. Course load is 3/3. Must in addition demonstrate potential for and/or record of productive scholarship. Candidates should send a letter of application, curriculum vitae, and dossier including graduate transcript and at least three letters of recommendation to Professor Christopher M.
