UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH – SEWANEE, TN
The Department of Classical Languages at the University of the South, popularly known as Sewanee, seeks to fill a one-year position (with possibility of renewal) at the Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall, 2007, for a generalist with emphasis in Greek. Applicants should have Ph.D. in hand, and demonstrated teaching ability. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in Latin and ancient Greek at all levels, and perhaps a course in the first year of Sewanee's interdisciplinary Humanities program. Course load is 3/3. Candidates should send a letter of application, curriculum vitae, and dossier including graduate transcript and at least three letters of recommendation to Professor Christopher M.
