The Program in Classics at the University of South Carolina seeks to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning fall 2007. Ph.D. in hand by May 2007. Area of specialization: Golden Age Roman Poetry; competence in epic and expertise in Vergil essential. The successful candidate will be a dynamic teacher and scholar who will show interest in teaching Latin and Greek as well as courses in classical civilization.
