POSITION ONE: MELLON POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW
The Department of Classics at the University of Southern California invites applications for a Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellowship for the 2009-2010 academic year. In line with the department's thematic emphases, candidates should have research projects that will contribute to our interests in ritual and performance, community and identity, or the organization of space, time, and experience in the ancient world, or in theoretical approaches to any aspect of antiquity. In addition to conducting research, the Fellow will teach one course each semester. The Fellow must have received a Ph.D. by August 15, 2009, but no earlier than August 15, 2002. POSITION TWO: FULL-TIME LECTURER
The Department of Classics at the University of Southern California invites applications for a one-year full-time lectureship for the 2009-2010 academic year. The successful candidate will be expected to teach five courses total, primarily in upper division Greek and Latin language. Allrequirements for the Ph.D. must be completed by the commencement of the position, August 15, 2009.
