The Department of Classics at the University of Southern California seeks to appoint an assistant professor of classical studies. We welcome applications in two areas: (1) Latin literature and Roman culture, any period; (2) cultural history of the Greek world, especially Hellenistic or later. Candidates should be prepared to contribute to interdisciplinary research and teaching within and beyond the department, including courses in the University's General Education program. Ph.D. in hand by June 30, 2008.
