The Department of Classics at the University of Southern California seeks to appoint a tenure-track assistant or tenured associate professor in Latin literature and Roman cultural studies. The area of specialization is open, but the search committee will give particular consideration to candidates who demonstrate an ability to contribute to interdisciplinary research and teaching within and beyond the Department of Classics. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at all levels, undergraduate and graduate, including the General Education program. Candidates must have Ph.D. in hand before the start of the appointment in August 2007.
