DEFINITE POSITION: Roman Material Culture OR Poetry and Literary Criticism. The Department of Classics at the University of Southern California seeks to appoint an assistant or associate professor in EITHER Roman material culture (broadly understood to include art,archaeology, numismatics, epigraphy, etc.) OR Poetry and literary criticism (area open, but special consideration given to candidates with expertise in the Hellenistic period). Candidates should have an established program of innovative research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at all levels, undergraduate through graduate, and to contribute to General Education. Ph.D. in hand by June 30, 2005.
