An Assistant Professor, tenure-track position in Classics is open in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages, pending available funding. The research area is open and candidates should be prepared to teach all levels of undergraduate Greek and Latin as well as general education courses in Classics. Priority may be given to candidates that have a specialty in Greek literature and contact with modern Greece. Candidates should demonstrate, in addition to scholarly potential and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, a willingness to advance the study of the classical humanities at the university and in the community. Candidates must have completed their PhD by August 1, 2002.
