The Department of Classics announces a one-year position at the rank of Lecturer, to begin September 1, 2008. We invite applications from candidates specializing in Latin literature and Roman studies; applicants with cross-disciplinary interests are especially welcome. The successful candidate will teach four or five courses (either 2/2 or 3/2), including undergraduate Latin courses. The position may be renewable for a second year, contingent upon funding and performance. A Ph.D. in Classics is required, and a strong record of teaching is preferred.
