A full-time position in Classical Studies at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2007. Required qualifications: PhD in classical studies by August 2007. Expertise in Greco-Roman language, culture, and literature; experience teaching Latin. Preferred qualifications: strong background in Greek language and literature. Additional background in ancient philosophy, history, archaeology, or religion. Responsibilities: the course load for the first year is 2/2, but the appointee will be expected to teach 3/3 in subsequent years. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
