CLASSICS POSITION. The Department of Languages and Literature at the University of Utah invites applications for a tenure-track position, at the entry level, in Classics. At the current time, this position is contingent upon final approval of funding. Candidate's scholarly strength should be in Greek and Greek poetry/drama and the candidate must be able to teach Latin and Latin literature. Candidate must have strong commitment to scholarship, publication and teaching; and must be able to teach a broad range of general courses in Classical Civilization, Comparative Literature, and Intellectual Traditions of the West. Ph.D. required by time of appointment. Interviewing will take place at the APA Convention in December 1999.
