The University of Virginia Department of Classics invites applications for a possible one-year replacement position at the rank of Lecturer for 2000-2001. Candidate should be a Hellenist capable of teaching Greek language and literature at all levels as well as undergraduate Latin and a course in English translation. Completion of Ph.D. by August 2000. We do not expect final authorization for this position until the spring term of 2000 but do plan to interview candidates at the APA convention.
