The Department of Classics at the University of Virginia invites applications for a possible one-year leave replacement position beginning in August, 2006 as Lecturer in Classics. Among the courses the successful candidate might teach are second-year Greek, a third-year course in a Latin author, a graduate course in Greek, possibly Greek prose composition, and a course in translation, e.g., The Age of Pericles.
