The Department of Classics at the University of Virginia announces a new tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor, effective August 2007. We invite applications in any area of Greek literature or in historical linguistics.

Applicants should send a letter of application, curriculum vitae, graduate transcript, and a sample of scholarly writing (not longer than 30 pages), and should arrange for the sending of at least three confidential letters of recommendation.
