University of Washington - Seattle, WA (Two Positions)
The Department of Classics at the University of Washington invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions, beginning in the academic year 2001-02. Applicants should have the Ph.D. degree by the effective date of the appointment. Duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate students and conducting independent research. The areas of specialization that we shall consider include the following: Archaic Greek poetry; Greek prose of the classical period, historical and/or oratorical; Greek and/or Roman Cultural Studies (including literary theory); and Latin prose authors in the areas of rhetoric or philosophy.
