The Classics Department at the University of Wisconsin invites applications for a position in Latin Literature at the level of tenure-track Assistant Professor. The field of specialization is Latin prose. The teaching load consists of four courses per year, and regularly includes graduate seminars in Latin literature, introductory and intermediate courses in Latin, and large undergraduate lecture courses in Roman civilization, Latin literature in translation and Latin pedagogy. The Ph.D. degree must be in hand prior to the start of the appointment.
