One-year lecturer position in Humanistic Studies and Ancient History, beginning Fall 2004. Will teach multiple sections of Foundations of Western Culture (Antiquity through Renaissance). May also teach Greek or Roman survey or upper-level courses. Secondary field in Medieval, Renaissance or Islamic history welcomed. Required: Master's in History from accredited institution. Preferred: Ph.D. in Ancient History. Successful candidate must have higher education teaching experience, demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, commitment to undergraduate education, and communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a divers array of students and colleagues. Starting date: August 23, 2004.
