The Department of History at Utah State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Classics at the Assistant Professor level beginning Autumn 2001 (report to campus in early August). Candidates must be able to teach ancient Western Civilization, Latin and Greek at all levels, ancient and/or medieval philosophy, and (as appropriate) upper-division history classes. We are seeking applicants with strong potential as teachers and scholars to bridge the gap between ancient and medieval studies; therefore, preference will be given to individuals with demonstrated, ongoing research interests in late antiquity, broadly defined.
