Valparaiso University invites applications for a visiting faculty position in Classics for the 2012-13 academic year, beginning August 15, 2012. Teaching responsibilities include all levels of Greek language, Roman History, and may include Introduction to Classical Archaeology and/or teaching in the University's interdisciplinary program for first-year students. Candidates should have the Ph.D. completed or nearly completed. The successful candidate will have a record of excellent teaching and ability to engage students in the study of Classics. Valparaiso University is a primarily undergraduate institution of more than 4000 students, located about an hour from Chicago at the southern tip of Lake Michigan.
